Should we change the way we measure student progress in schools?

The Grattan Institute’s new report, Widening Gaps, invites us to think differently about how to measure student progress and tackle entrenched inequalities in achievement.

This backs up the work we are doing with several schools around the DIE process (Diagnose – Intervene – Evaluate) that develops teachers to be much more focused on student progression and being more clinical in their teaching (thus developing mastery)
